Now celebrating 40 years of deep mine tours (1975 - 2015), Poldark Mine provides a fascinating insight into the world of Cornwall’s ancient tin mining industry. Explore underground in Wheal Roots, a real 18th century tin mine and discover all about Cornish mining in the Heritage Museum. Poldark is also home to the last Cornish beam pumping engine to pump commercially from a mine.
